CONDITIONS and costs for the volunteers:

There are no fees to get involved in the Volunteer program.

Volunteers pay their flight to come to Puerto Plata and their lodging facilities and their own food.

Volunteers must choose their apartment according to SunCampDR's price list. The airport pick up, guidance and first trip to the city cost only $30 US. We greet you at the airport with your name on a board and you receive a personalized welcome. We will work out your volunteer schedule, according to your flexibility and desires. We will take you to our local community center and introduce you to the people in the village. You are right away part of the SuncampDR family and very welcome in Munoz village.

Your Approximate Costs:

Flight to Puerto Plata: approximately $US 300 to $US 700 . There are seasonal deals for less money. if you land in Santiago, you will need to drive for 1h45 minutes and we are 4h30 drive away from Santo Domingo airport. There are public transportations.

Housing – at SuncampDR, we offer rural apartments within walking distance of the volunteer project, prices starting at US$190/month, utilities included, wi-fi internet also included.

Your Approximate Costs for Food: $200-$350/month. Local products are always less expensive.

Your Approximate Costs for Local Transportation for one moonth: $40-$60/month
